These aren't aspirations. They're operating standards. Most companies list values as adjectives, such as integrity, innovation, and collaboration, and leave it at that. We wrote ours as commitments you can hold us to. If we fall short, we want to know.

We don't ship work we wouldn't stand behind.
Every deliverable carries Tunlaw's name. Before anything goes out the door, we ask one question: would we be proud to defend this in a room full of people who know the subject better than we do? If the answer is anything less than yes, it isn't ready. This is what integrity looks like in practice — not a poster on the wall, but a standard applied to every draft, every review, every final version.

Government and mission-driven work has enough yes-people. Tunlaw was built to be the partner who says "this approach has a problem" before it becomes a problem the end user feels. Candor isn't comfortable, but it's cheaper than remediation and more respectful than silence. We earn trust by being honest, not agreeable.

Contractor dependency is a business model for some firms. Not for us. Every engagement is designed so your team can maintain, extend, and defend the work after we're gone. We document the reasoning. We explain the tradeoffs. We transfer the knowledge. If you need us again, it should be because the next problem is worth solving together — not because the last one left you stranded.

Compliance is the floor, not the finish line.
Passing an automated check is not the same thing as serving the person on the other end. Standards like Section 508, WCAG, and agency-specific mandates are starting points — they tell you the minimum. Tunlaw builds past the minimum because the people using the work deserve more than a technical pass. Compliance gets you through the review. Quality gets you the outcome.

The quality of attention doesn't change based on the size of the contract, the seniority of the audience, or whether anyone important is watching. A form that a veteran fills out at midnight deserves the same rigor as a presentation that a deputy secretary sees on Tuesday morning. The people on the other end don't know the budget. They just know whether the work helps them or doesn't.
